A 13th century timber-framed barn in the village of Coggeshall, Essex. It originally belonged to Coggeshall Abbey, which was dissolved by Henry VIII in 1538.
Team 7 of Series 5 found an indoor market in the Barn, where Julius Scaramonger infamously sold them a CHANGE spell. It was seen again in the end credits of Series 5 episode 15, and appeared to have some sort of inn at the back.

The place was deserted and almost completely dark when visited by Team 7 of Series 7. Barry used a glow-light to search for a piece of Grimaldine's staff, and was directed straight into a wooden post (i.e. the studio wall).
The Barn contains a collection of carts and other farm implements.
Leaving via the door... well, the portal, anyway.





Coggeshall Grange Barn is now in the care of the National Trust. It is open to the public and available for hire. Click here to visit the website.
